From two people with one idea
July 2016 - Propeller announces partnership with DJI to deliver comprehensive solution for drone surveys and inspections to mining and construction industries.
April - June 2016 - Team grows up to 12 people and Propeller moves into a new larger office. After successful tests, the 2nd generation of AeroPoints proves to be market ready.
March 2016 - Propeller launches operator subscription portal and demonstrates the platform and AeroPoints technology to DJI in Shenzen. Everyone agrees this is the future of UAV surveying.
December 2015 - First successful tests of AeroPoints prototypes. Debate rages around the best design for the pattern on top. None of them are the eventual simple checkerboard.
July 2015 - Propeller raises its first round from angels and Blackbird VCl firm. Chris Cooper, an Academy Award winning Visualization Lead, joins the team that now comprises 8 people.
April 2015 - After a long discussion about accuracy and groud control in UAV surveying, the idea of AeroPoints comes up for the first time.
December 2014 - Propeller enters the Startmate accelerator program and signs Hanson, its first enterprise client, to conduct regular quarry surveying.
November 2014 - Propeller does its first commercial survey with AlphaFlight Aero on a construction site in Sydney. Keat Tang (Founding Engineer) joins the team as Propeller's first employee.
February 2015 - Propeller releases the first fully 3D version of its interface and works with NICTA to build instant volume measurement tools.
September- October 2014 - Propeller's first customers! Craig and Rhodes, a surveying group that signs with Propeller to test drone technology for accuracy and reliability.
Geospatial specialist Position Partners has teamed up with drone data platform Propeller Aero to offer customers end-to-end RPAS bundles that can deliver survey-grade results.
The bundles have been designed specifically for surveying purposes and combine drone aircraft from global manufacturer DJI with Propeller Aero’s cloud-based data platform and AeroPoints ground control system.
